100 years ago the movies were off to a fast start. Famous in those days was a character known as the Vampyr, soon shortened to "VAMP". This was the often found woman of deceit and ill repute who would drive men wild. Not very PC in culture today, but a show stopper in days of old, a forerunner the the Noir pictures femme fatale. Darkly mysterious she'd cast a spell on her subject of desire. and as her foil was the beautiful and innocent ingenue.
